Valve ontkent samenwerking Apple
Nieuws | 24 april 2012 - De geruchten dat de CEO van Apple, Tim Cook, een bezoek bracht aan Valve zijn onjuist, zo verklaarde Valve-oprichter Gabe Newell in een interview met Seven Day Cooldown[i/].

“We actually, we all sent mail to each other, going, 'Who's Tim Cook meeting with? Is he meeting with you? I'm not meeting with Tim Cook.' It's one of those rumors that was stated so factually that we were actually confused.”
Apple's gamingsteun
Wel vertelde Newell dat hij graag ziet dat Apple gamen meer steunt. Maar dat de ideeën van Apple en Valve net wat te ver uit elkaar liggen om samen iets te beginnen.

"I'd say Nintendo and Apple are a lot closer together than Valve and Apple are. They both have such a strong, clear design ethic, and if you want to go along for the ride, you can. But it'd be hard to see the Steam Workshop coming out in the context of something that Apple does."
Dus zover lijkt het er niet op dat er een samenwerking aan zit te komen tussen Apple en Valve.
